Warm regards from Karnataka Institute of Diabetology !!!

Somebody once said that "It's an outrage that while treatment and technology exists for people with diabetes to manage their disease, the reality is that for millions of people in low and middle-income countries, modern treatment and technology is still a dream,"....and to turn this dream into reality, Karnataka Institute of Diabetology (KID) was established.

NEVER BEFORE and NO WHERE else has anybody made such an effort in the government arena. This is a proud venture of the Government of Karnataka and enjoys the privilege of being an unique, one of its kind institute providing holistic, affordable and state of the art care to the diabetic population that too under one roof.

Dedicated to the nation on 28th January 2009 with the sole aim of bringing care of international standards to the doorstep of diabetic population, KID has over a short period carved a niche for itself and is now a recognised and respected name.

It stands tall amongst its counterparts and boasts of being a state of the art, best equipped and an unique and first of its kind institute in India under government set up, which is dedicated to serve the diabetic population.

With a humble beginning in the campus of Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research, KID is at present providing OPD services to diabetic population. With Gods grace, we plan to take this to the next level by establishing a state of the art institute in Indiranagar for which land has already been allotted by the Government of Karnataka. This palatial institute will house all the world class facilities needed for care of diabetic patients under one roof on a larger scale.

We have blessings and best wishes of God and all the thousands of patients who have visited us and we pray to god to give us the strength to serve you better.

At present we cater not only to the diabetic population of Karnataka and neighboring states but patients from West Bengal and Assam and other North Indian states are drawn towards this dedicated institute and always have good things to tell about the institute. These satisfied patients return home to send more patients and the success story continues.

"When deeds speak, words are nothing" is a well known proverb and KID is one institute which has proven this beyond doubt. Without advertisement or propaganda of any sort, more than 100 patients visit KID every single day. Since we believe in Quality rather than Quantity, KID has even restricted the number of patients to whom services can be offered to 150 patients per day at present. KID has served over 50,000 patients till date.

"People may doubt what you say, but they will believe what you do" KID firmly believes in this and people who visit our institute are the testimony to this.
