Galleria - Establishment of the Institute

Karnataka Institute of Diabetology, Bangalore established in October, 2007 with the sole aim of bringing care of international standards to the doorstep of diabetic population, has over a short period of 3 years, carved a niche for itself and is now a recognised and respected name.

It stands tall amongst it’s counterparts and boasts of being a state of the art, best equipped and an unique and first of it’s kind institute in India under government set up, which is dedicated to serve the diabetic population.KID was inaugurated on 2nd October 2007 by the then Honorable Deputy Chief Minister, Govt. of Karnataka Sri. B.S. Yeddyurappa and since then there was no looking back. Honorable minister Mr.Acharya handed over the key to founder director Dr.K.R.Narasimha Setty.

With a humble beginning in the campus of Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiology, KID is at present providing OPD services to diabetic population. KID has over a short time earned a place for itself and is getting recognised due to the selfless, complete holistic diabetes care provided.
